As your Retirement Wealth Advisor, my role is to create a financial plan based on your specific long-term goals and the Retirement Life By Design you have envisioned for yourself. I have over 30 years of experience managing wealth through bull & bear markets, the kind of experience your hard-earned wealth deserves.

Working with retirees (or those soon-to-be) is truly my passion. The designations and certifications I have chosen to obtain, and continue to pursue, reflect my dedication to supporting my clients in this important transition. I am a certified Retirement Management Advisor® through Investments & Wealth Institute.  I recently earned my Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation. Additionally, I am currently a student at Yale School of Management studying Investment Management Theory & Practice.

Having worked in the finance industry since 1989, I know that financial planning is and should be an ongoing process. Throughout the ’90s I enjoyed a successful career in investment banking, navigating multiple mergers and achieving the President’s Council multiple times while affiliated with WM Financial, Griffin Financial Services, Ahmanson & Co., Coast Federal Services, and Fimco Securities. In 2001, I realized my vision of creating a niche financial planning firm of my own- Marshall & Associates Financial Services, Inc. In 2015 I founded Life By Design Investment Advisory Services. At LBDIAS, I continue to offer strategic guidance and individually tailored investment portfolios that are designed to be in alignment with your goals.

I am a lifelong Southern California resident and truly love the Dana Point community where we are based. You can often find my husband and I out paddle-boarding the harbor or cruising the coast or mountains in our customized sprinter van. I’m a supporter of several local organizations held close to my heart including Classic KUSC, The Bowers Museum, the Santa Ana Zoo & Alpha K9. I served as Orange County Trustee & Board Member for Olive Crest - Strong Families, Safe Kids and continue to actively support their mission.

When I’m not helping clients meet their goals, I aspire to be a multi-pitch rock climber with organizations like SCMA, Rock Section, American Alpine Institute, & more. I spend my spare time leading others on backpacking expeditions, traveling and teaching cooking classes for Celiacs.
